Sublime Text – the code editor I most often use in class. If you want a dreamweaver-like color scheme, download this from Melissa’s Git Hub.
Brackets – A great alternative.
Xampp local server (Apache Friends) – install this on your PC (use the “installer” download on the XAMPP page)
MAMP local server – install this on your mac (free version)
php.net – function reference and docs for PHP
codeacademy – great online video training
